About Our Team

AeroBASE is a dedicated team specializing in robotics and aeronautics, actively innovating through participation in the Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI).

Established in March 2024, the team was founded with a shared vision of advancing autonomous aerial systems for meaningful real-world applications.

Our primary focus is the development of Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) vehicles designed to support relief operations in diverse and challenging environments.

We integrate cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced sensor systems, and autonomous control frameworks, to create intelligent and adaptive aerial solutions.

AeroBASE was born from the ambition and vision of several members of BASECORE, a robotics club under BINUS ASO School of Engineering, who aspired to take part in the prestigious Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) 2024. The journey began in March 2024, when a small group initiated the formation of a competition team.

Recognizing the need for broader collaboration, the founding members expanded beyond BASECORE and invited students from various backgrounds across the university. This open call led to the formation of a passionate team of around 20 individuals, united by a shared dream to innovate in the field of aerial robotics.

Initially known simply as the "KRTI 2024 Team," the group formalized its identity as AeroBASE after successfully passing the regional selection stage. Under the initial supervision of Intan Mahardika, S.T., M.T., the team was driven into motion by Charles Chrisstianto, with the original idea sparked by Christofer Rey Wijaya and Charles himself.

From humble beginnings, AeroBASE continues to grow as a collaborative space for aspiring engineers to learn, build, and soar.
